How to Lead Employee Resource Groups
The role of the employee resource groups (ERG) has become more critical to organizational success in the past decade. Focused and skilled leadership is the primary ingredient for successful ERGs. However, even if the ERG leader has supervisor or manager experience, motivating, directing, and obtaining optimal productivity from a volunteer group is very different than managing a group of employees. This interactive workshop will give ERG leaders strategies and best practices for maximizing their ERG team’s engagement as well as productivity. Participants will gain innovative ideas for how to promote and sell their ERGs mission and value to the organization. Participants will learn how to improve their briefing techniques by using simplified but powerful models. Participants will gain an enhanced understanding of the critical elements of ERG and the importance of metrics and measurements. Additionally, participants with learn problem-solving techniques. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to expand and elevate their ERGs for optimal effectiveness. Each participant will be administered a Leadership Style assessment before the class to gain valuable insights on how to maximize their leadership behavior. A comprehensive workbook and certificate are included.
